AFI acquires Quick Reach fleet

UK-Based AFI Rentals has confirmed the acquisition of more than 500 units from the former Quick Reach fleet.

The deal was negotiated and concluded with the administrators of Quick Reach after the UK rental company went into administration in May this year, with its estimated total aerial lift fleet of around 1,800 units.

The purchase by AFI, for an undisclosed sum, reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to fleet investment and availability across the UK market, said the company.  A portion will go into AFI’s rental fleet, while the remaining units will be added to stock at AJ Access Platforms, part of the AFI group, and made available for sale.

David McNicholas, AFI Group CEO, commented, “The addition of these machines will support the ongoing growth of our rental and resale businesses. In particular, the fleet additions provide an extended number and range of Superset booms and scissors to support our customers.”

The deal includes machines from a range of manufacturers, including JLG, Genie, Dingli, Skyjack, Niftylift, Haulotte, Manitou and JCB.
