JCB on how to beat the skilled labor shortage

What does it take to cultivate the next generation of skilled talent in the access, rental and manufacturing industries?

JCB’s Early Career Development Manager Chastity Williams-Lasley will address just that when she takes the stage on Oct. 16 to present at the Working at Height Conference & Awards in Nashville.

In her session “Built to Last: The Secret to a Successful Apprenticeship,” Williams-Lasley says she will “pull back the curtain on the ‘secret sauce’ behind JCB’s thriving apprenticeship program — an initiative rooted in real-world jobsite needs, hands-on learning and a culture of innovation.”

Williams-Lasley, who previously served as the Work Based Learning Coordinator at Savannah Chatham County Public School System, has been at her post with JCB for more than two years now, working with more than 50 apprentices

Her session is designed for access and rental professionals who understand that workforce development isn’t just a buzzword; “It’s a business imperative,” Williams-Lasley says.

During her session, attendees will gain insights into how structured mentorship, strategic partnerships and long-term investment in early career professionals can create a sustainable pipeline of hard-working talent.

Williams-Lasley joins a number of industry experts and professionals speaking at this year’s Working at Height Conference & Awards, including Sunstate Equipment’s President Norty Turner, Ducker Carlisle’s Managing Principal Nicole McGregor, From the Future’s Vice President of Business Development Justin Mullins, and many, many more.
