Barin bridge inspection unit for Brazilian rental

Brazilian rental company Construtora Unitecnica has added a new Barin bridge inspection unit to its fleet.

Based in Bairro Vila Nova, Tietê – a municipality in the state of São Paulo, Construtora has already used the Barin ABC 70/L for bridge maintenance in the country.

The unit is mounted on to a 2-axle VW Delivery 11.180, 4×2 truck chassis and has a maximum underbridge working length of 7m. It has been completely manufactured in aluminium and is composed of a fixed and sliding platform, extending to 7,000mm horizontal. The platform width is 1,000mm and has a total payload of 350kg,

Other features include the ability to reach over sidewalks up 1.8m wide and wind barriers up to of 2.2m high.

The machine can also work parallel to the bridge, with an underbridge rotation of 180°m and can operate using one traffic lane, thanks to its width of 2.2m, allowing traffic to continue to use the other lane.
