New managing director for APS

The UK’s largest provider of new and used equipment Access Platforms Sales (APS) has appointed Andy Bray to the position of Managing Director.

Bray, who also becomes a shareholder of the company, started in the role on 7 July and previously served as Managing Director at Versalift United Kingdom. He is currently a member of the IPAF UK’s Country Council and has over two decades of sector knowledge, including a deep understanding of OEM and distribution business models.

APS said that Bray’s appointment marked a new chapter for the company as it continues to grow its presence across rental, end-user, and specialist markets.

Speaking about his new role, Bray added, “APS has a fantastic reputation for technical expertise, supporting market-leading brands, and customer-first after care, with an ability to leverage its established APS Parts Department to ensure our customers’ maximise their productivity. I’m excited to join such a dedicated team and look forward to driving the business forward through innovation, strategic partnerships, and continued investment in aftersales support and parts supply.”

APS is a distributor for Hinowa spider lifts and tracked dumpers, along with other working-at-height products from Genie, Niftylift, Boss access platforms and material handling equipment from Wienold Lifte and Toughlift, and sells used access equipment. 

Tony Jennings, Director of APS Group, said that Bray’s appointment reflects the ambition to strengthen APS’s position as a market leader in the supply of access solutions. “His track record in building customer-focused operations and developing successful teams makes him the ideal choice to lead the business into its next phase.”
