skyjack scissor lift weight

Skyjack scissor lift weight depends on the complete model and equipment version. For four E-series electric models in Skyjack’s North American April 2025 specification sheets, the published machine weights range from 1,166 kg to 2,485 kg. That is a range for these selected models, not for every Skyjack scissor lift.

Keep machine weight separate from platform capacity. The first describes the machine itself; the second limits what it can carry on the platform.

Weight chart for selected E-series models

The table preserves the manufacturer’s published kilogram figures. Check the serial-number-specific documents before using them to plan a shipment or assess a floor.

Model Published machine weight Overall platform capacity
SJ3215 E 1,166 kg 272 kg
SJ3219 E 1,468 kg 227 kg
SJ4726 E 1,979 kg 454 kg
SJ4732 E 2,485 kg 318 kg

These are North American reference specifications dated April 2025. Accessories and options can change machine weight and capacity. The figures should not be applied automatically to an older SJIII machine, a model without the E suffix, or a unit built for another market.

The SJ4726 E illustrates the distinction between the two columns: its listed machine weight is 1,979 kg, while its overall platform capacity is 454 kg. The capacity is not a transport weight, and it does not mean the platform can accept that amount in any distribution. Main-platform and extension-deck limits must also be checked.

Why two listings may show different weights

A listing marked “SJ3219” may refer to a different generation from one marked “SJ3219 E.” Regional specifications can differ too. Comparing only the familiar number can therefore produce an incorrect conclusion that one seller’s figure must be wrong.

Skyjack also notes that equipment design changes associated with standards updates can affect machine weight. Start with the full model name, serial number, market specification and fitted options. Those identifiers make it possible to locate the applicable documents.

Ask the seller what the quoted weight represents and whether additional equipment is included. Do not average conflicting specifications or substitute the lightest number found online.

Use the correct weight for transport planning

Give the carrier the actual unit’s weight and transport dimensions, together with details of any accessories or separate cargo being shipped. The overall load on the vehicle must account for everything being carried.

A trailer’s available payload is only part of the check. The loading ramp, deck and securing arrangement also need to suit the machine. Obtain those limits from the transport provider rather than assuming that a machine fitting on the deck is sufficient.

If the lift will use a goods elevator, confirm its rated capacity and the loading arrangement with the building operator. Door dimensions alone do not establish suitability.

Machine weight does not establish floor suitability

The manufacturer lists floor-loading information separately from machine weight. That distinction matters because a building floor must support loads where the wheels contact it, not merely a total mass spread evenly across the room.

Provide the relevant floor-loading figures and intended route to the person responsible for assessing the floor. Include the expected platform load and fitted accessories. Do not use a brochure weight alone to approve operation on a suspended slab or another load-sensitive surface.

For platform loading, check the machine’s capacity labels and operator manual. Occupants, tools and materials all contribute to the load; an extension deck can have a separate limit.

What to request before buying

Ask for a clear identification-plate photograph, the matching specification sheet, the option list and confirmation of the unit’s transport weight. Rental-fleet buyers should retain this information for each machine, rather than relying on one weight for an entire model family.

Our Skyjack scissor lift listings provide a starting point for an enquiry. State the complete model suffix and explain whether the weight is needed for delivery, elevator access or a floor assessment. This helps ensure that the requested information answers the actual planning question.
